Just months after it launched a long-range plan that aims to make Trois-Rivières an intermodal hub on the St. Lawrence River, the Trois-Rivières Port Authority and its partners unveiled a novel transportation service that is helping to bring an old Canadian product to a new European market.

Nunavut Eastern Arctic Shipping Inc.'s newest vessel, the MV Qamutik, arrived safely in Canada on Canada Day. The vessel will service the Eastern Arctic under Canadian flag with a Canadian crew, including specially trained local Inuit.
