Ms. Stefancic joined Logistec Corporation as vice-president, legal and corporate services in 1997 in this newly created position and manages all of the legal affairs of the company. This includes compliance with all regulatory requirements as a publicly-traded company, managing and overseeing mergers and acquisitions, contract and lease negotiations with suppliers, clients and port authorities, all insurance matters, litigation files and current operating issues. Ms. Stefancic is also the secretary of Logistec Corporation, as well as all of its subsidiaries.
Prior to joining Logistec, Ms. Stefancic was in private practice as a business law/real estate lawyer for 10 years with a major law firm. She was also a professor at the Quebec Bar School, in the Business Law Section, for four years and published over 30 articles. She was an active member of the community while sitting on boards for various hospitals and educational institutions.
Ms. Stefancic is a graduate of Laval University where she earned a Civil Law degree and was called to the Quebec Bar in 1986. Ms. Stefancic is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association and of the Association des secrétaires et chefs de contentieux du Québec.
