Ms. Paquin has been president and CEO of Logistec Corporation since 1996. Primarily a cargo-handling company, Logistec offers marine services through a network of 23 ports in Eastern North America. Logistec is a publicly traded company with its shares listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Prior to becoming president of Logistec, she held various positions in the marine agency sector.
Ms. Paquin holds directorships in various companies and organizations, including: Canadian Pacific Railway, the Chamber of Marine Commerce, the Maritime Employers Association and the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal. She is also a member of the Forum maritime du Québec and the Marine Transportation Advisory Council. She chairs the St. Lawrence Great Lakes Trade Gateway Leadership Council and is co-chair of the Private Sector Advisory Committee for the Ontario Quebec Continental Gateway and Trade Corridor.
Ms. Paquin is a graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario where she earned an Honours of Business Administration degree. She is also a graduate of the École des Hautes Études Commerciales, Université de Montréal, where she earned a Graduate Diploma in Administrative Studies.
Ms. Paquin was a recipient of the Top 40 Under 40 in 1998. She was named No. 1 of the Top 100 Women Entrepreneurs by Canadian Business and Chatelaine in 1999, and in the top ten every year since then. In 2001, she was proud to receive the Medal of Merit from the Association of Canadian Port Authorities. From 2003 to 2006, she was among the winners of Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 award from WXN and has since been inducted to its Hall of Fame.
