Graduated in 1983 from McGill University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Management Information Systems.
In July 1983, she started working for Logistec Corporation in various functions:
Northern Operations;
Reefer Terminal Operations;
Corporate Information Systems;
Operational Information Systems;
Agency Services;
Container Terminal Systems;
Navigational Division.
In 1989, she became vice-president of Logistec Corporation and also became vice-president of the navigational division of Logistec Corporation, better known as Logistec Navigation Inc.
In 1994, she actively participated when the Logistec Navigation merged with Transport Igloolik, to become a joint venture between Logistec Corporation and The North West Company, called Transport Nanuk Inc. Such an alliance was a strategic move on the part of the companies, who alone were operating one vessel each. In 1998, Transport Nanuk Inc. became the managing partner in Nunavut Eastern Arctic Shipping Inc. (NEAS), together with the northern economic development corporations, namely Makivik Corporation, Qikiqtaaluk Cororation and Sakku Investments Corporation.
In June 1998, she became president of Transport Nanuk to present.
In April 1998, she became vice-president of NEAS to present.
She is currently secretary of the St. Lawrence Ship Operators Association (Association des armateurs du Saint-Laurent), a non-profit association representing the interests of St. Lawrence shipowners and operators, including ferries, tugs, general cargo vessels, tankers, etc.
